Hi, I’m Peter Grieve
About Me
Like many of us, my path through life has been anything but linear. I began my career in the defence force and have since worked across a variety of roles—from Avionics Technician and Reliability Engineer (FIFO) to stay-at-home dad, Early Childhood Educator, Condition Monitoring Technician, and Residential Care Support Worker. These diverse experiences have shaped who I am today and allow me to connect meaningfully with people from all walks of life.
I’m now a Clinical Psychologist, dedicated to helping clients gain deeper insight and create more fulfilling, meaningful lives. My therapeutic style is collaborative and exploratory, grounded in evidence-based practices, and tailored to each person’s unique journey.
Outside of my clinical work, I’m drawn to mindfulness and meditation, with a secular appreciation for many core Buddhist principles. I find balance through time in nature, living simply, and being in the company of others who value self-awareness and presence.
Supporting Veterans, Defence and Emergency Services
I served for 10 years in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as an Avionics Technician. That experience not only gave me a deep appreciation of the demands and culture of military life, but also a strong ability to connect with fellow veterans and serving ADF members. I understand the unique challenges faced during service—and after—and I’m passionate about supporting others as they navigate these experiences.
Many of my closest friends are current or former service members, and I’ve prioritised the treatment of PTSD and related issues in my professional development. I offer comprehensive Telehealth services nationwide and encourage veterans to access care through the DVA referral system via their GP. If you’d like an introductory chat or have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
