Services pricing guide

Prices:

$270 for a 50 minute session – Individual
$350 for a 50 minute session – Couples

Medicare:

If you have been referred by your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan you may be eligible for a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Sessions not covered by the Medicare Better Access to Psychologists Scheme will be charged at the above rates. Further information about this scheme is available from your GP or upon request. Please be reminded that Medicare Australia issues rebates on a 6 plus 4 plus 10 session basis. This means that you will be expected to visit your GP (or psychiatrist) between your 6th and 7th session to obtain a Mental Health Review and again between your 10th and 11th session to obtain another review. Your psychologist may remind you of this at your 6th and 10th session however, the responsibility to return to your GP (or psychiatrist) lies with you. Until you are able to provide us with a copy of your Mental Health Review, we will be unable to issue you with a Medicare rebate for your seventh or any subsequent sessions.

DVA:

DVA covers the full charge for those eligible. Longer 90 minute sessions are also available for those eligible.

Private Health Rebates:

If you have private health cover you may be able to claim a rebate for non-Medicare related referrals/consultations. Please check with your health fund for details and the amount of rebates. You cannot use your private health insurance ancillary cover to top up the Medicare rebate. Therefore, you will need to decide whether to use Medicare or your private health insurance ancillary cover.

Payments:

Payments will be automatically deducted from the credit card details you provide below. Payment of accounts is required at the time of consultation and will occur automatically once the session has commenced. Any expenses incurred in recovering any outstanding monies including debt collection agency fees and solicitors are the responsibility of the client.

Cancellations:

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancelling or rescheduling appointments, to enable us sufficient time to offer the time to another client who may be on our cancellation waitlist. Cancellations that occur with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee of $200. The cancellation fee will need to be paid prior to attending or making any further appointments. Please note, Medicare rebates cannot be issues for non- attendance or late cancellations.

Psychological Service:

As part of providing a psychological service to you, I will need to collect and record personal information from you that is relevant to your current situation. This information will form a necessary part of the psychological assessment and treatment. In the instance of referral, I am required to provide the referee with a brief overview of therapy sessions and assessments.
